Getting Started

How do I get access to Klakar?
Klakar is currently invite-only. Join our waitlist at klakar.com/#waitlist and we will email you an invitation when a spot opens up. Invitations are sent in batches as we grow, keep an eye on your inbox (and spam folder).
How do I create an account once I receive my invitation?
Click the Accept Invitation button in your invite email. It will take you directly to the sign-up page where you can set your password and complete your profile. Invitation links expire after 48 hours, request a new one from the same waitlist page if yours has lapsed.
I signed up for the waitlist, when will I be invited?
Invitations are sent on a rolling basis as capacity grows. You will receive email updates when your position improves. There is no way to skip the queue, but referring friends who also join the waitlist can help increase your priority.
How do I set up my profile?
Once logged in, you will be provided an onboarding flow to set up your profile. You can add a profile photo, cover image, bio, location, and links to your portfolio or social accounts. A complete profile helps others discover you.
Can I have multiple profiles?
Yes. Klakar supports multiple professional profiles under a single account, for example, a personal artist profile and a studio or company profile. Switch between them from the account menu.
What is my profile slug?
Your slug is the unique URL handle for your public profile (e.g. klakar.com/your-name). You can customise it in Profile Settings as long as it has not been taken by another user.

Network & Connections

What is the difference between following and connecting?
Following is one-way — you see their posts in your feed. Connecting is mutual — both parties accept, unlocking direct messaging and a closer network relationship.
How do I send a connection request?
Visit any user's profile and click the Connect button. They will receive a notification and can accept or decline. You can manage pending requests from Network → Requests.
How do I withdraw a connection request?
Go to Network → Connections → Pending, find the sent request, and click Withdraw. The other person will not be notified.
How do I block or mute someone?
Open their profile, click the three-dot menu, and choose Block or Mute. Blocked profiles cannot see your content or message you. Muted profiles are hidden from your feed but the relationship is otherwise unchanged. Manage your lists under Profile → Blocks / Mutes.

Posts, Polls & Media

How do I create a post?
Click the Create Post button at the top of your feed. You can write text, attach images or videos, add tags, and set the audience (public, connections-only, etc.) before publishing.
How do I create a poll?
Inside the post composer, switch to the Poll tab. Add your question and up to four options, then set an expiry duration. Polls appear in your followers' feeds and results are visible once they vote.
What media formats are supported?
Images: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (up to 10 MB each). Videos: MP4, MOV (up to 200 MB). You can upload multiple files per post.
Can I edit or delete a post?
You can delete your own posts at any time from the three-dot menu on the post. Editing is not currently supported — delete and re-post if you need to make changes.

Classes

How do I enrol in a class?
Browse classes from the Classes section or a creator's profile. Click Enrol, and you will receive a confirmation email with all class details and the join link.
How do I create and publish a class?
From your profile, go to Classes → Create Class. Fill in the title, description, schedule, format, and pricing. Submit for review — classes are typically approved within 24 hours and then go live automatically.
Can I get a refund if I cancel?
Please contact the class creator directly for refund requests. In case of disputes, please contact support@klakar.com.
How do I download my completion certificate?
After your class is marked complete by the instructor, a certificate is generated and emailed to you. You can also download it at any time from your profile under Classes → Completed.

Messages & Chats

Who can message me?
By default, only your connections can start a direct message thread with you. You can adjust this in Settings → Privacy.
How do I start a group chat?
In the Messages tab, click New Chat, then search for and add participants. Give the chat a name and send your first message to create it.
Can I leave or delete a chat?
You can leave a group chat at any time from the chat settings. Direct message threads can be archived or deleted from your end — the other person's copy is unaffected.

Notifications

How do I manage notification preferences?
Go to Settings → Notifications. You can toggle individual notification types (new connection, post likes, comments, event reminders, etc.) for both in-app and email delivery.
Why am I not receiving push notifications?
Make sure you have granted notification permissions for your browser or device. You can also re-enable them from Settings → Notifications.
How do I mark all notifications as read?
Open the Notifications panel and click Mark all as read at the top. Individual notifications can also be dismissed by clicking on them.

Account & Settings

How do I change my password?
Go to Settings → Security and click Change Password. You will need to confirm your current password before setting a new one. If you have forgotten your password, use Forgot Password on the login page.
How do I update my privacy settings?
Settings → Privacy lets you control who can see your profile, posts, connections list, and contact information. You can also manage data-sharing and analytics preferences here.
How do I deactivate or delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Danger Zone. Deactivation hides your profile temporarily; you can reactivate by logging back in. Permanent deletion removes all your data within 30 days and cannot be undone.
How do I switch themes?
Go to your profile page and click on the theme selector in the top right corner. Klakar supports 8 predefined themes with both light and dark variants. You can also create custom themes.

Jobs & Gigs

How do I find jobs or gigs?
Use the Jobs or Gigs sections in the main navigation. Filter by category, location, experience level, job type, and price range to narrow down results.
How do I post a job or gig listing?
Navigate to Jobs → Post a Job (or Gigs → Post a Gig). Fill in the title, description, requirements, and compensation details. Listings are reviewed before going live, usually within a few hours.
How do I buy a gig?
Open the gig listing and select the package you want to purchase. You will be redirected to the confirmation page where you can complete the transaction.
